My stage name is a long story but to start, my real name is Jean Siliona. I started under the stage name of GadhiMix in the late 90s (98-99) where I was DJing at Radio B’s FM. I was DJing using cassette deck professional at the time, and then I started DJing with a laptop using AtomixMP3. In 2003, I upgraded to the software virtual DJ and been using it ever since.

How did I get my stage name? Well, it’s very simple, after the earthquake that happened in Haiti, a few friends and I were having a conversation and I told them that I wanted a name that is commercial, they suggested DJ Burst. I would like to give a big shout to my friend JeanJean AKA Swambie2004 for integrating me in Radio which later would spark my interest in DJing. I also admire DJ Valmix for his style, and I like the way he DJ. I also admire DJ puffy which I would like to take over the Caribbean just like him and DJ Fully Focus for his influence in the African music industry in the year 2000s.
